Pulau Kapas - Kuala Terengganu

Hey guys,

It's been a while... sorry i've been neglecting the blog after so long.. jobs, travelling and laziness are to blamed. I've been travelling, mostly around Penang and Malaysia lately, and the most recent one was Pulau Kapas in Terengganu. Let's start afresh on this blog, with a little more motivation to update.

So, here it is, on my motorcycle adventure go around Peninsular Malaysia. This time, i've decided to go through a long round trip, covering almost 1800 kilometres. Here's the breakdown on the major city i've stopped.

Penang - Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan - Kuala Terengganu - Pulau Kapas - Kuala Terengganu - Jerteh - Machang - Gerik - Kulim - Butterworth

Took a nice stop at Pulau Kapas, met a friend there and had an awesome holiday for 4 days, well, i quit my job the day before i head here. Such a lovely peaceful island, since it's not the peak season yet. Many shops are still closed or renovating from the damages that monsoon caused for the past few months. To get here, take a bus from Kuala Terengganu to Marang (which is about 15-20 minutes away and cost only MYR2.50 one way). Once you got to Marang, the jetty is just 5 minutes walk away and cost us RM40 per person to get there and back.

Stayed in Kapas Beach Chalet or KBC for RM50 a night (double bed) with a bathroom/toilet attached. Definitely recommended to stay there! Link to their sites attached: Kappa Beach Chalets
They provides free snorkels for those who stayed there, which is awesome compared to other islands where the rental cost RM10-20 a day. That saves quite a bit of money and you can snorkels whenever you like it.

Didn't bring a tripod but such an amazing colors!

I didnt bring my camera this time since this island holiday are kinda last minute but my friend have a nice Sony RX100 and i'm really amazed by the quality of this little compact camera. Gotta say i agree, it's one of the best compact i've ever use. So here's some of the photos we took during our stays there. Really looking forward to go back there one day.
