It was a massive celebration held at the Chew Jetty this year in conjunction with the 9th Day prayers to the God of Sky during the first month of Chinese New Year. We (Dream Wanderers) were invited and given an OP pass to shoot some photos during the celebration and we had fun! One of the most happening celebration i've ever attended.
What's better for a prayer rather than BBQ Roasted Pork? How bout the whole pig itself! Yum!!
All the giant joss sticks are amazing and colourful! A great form of art
Chinese origami
Beautiful CNY Lantern decoration
Name tag i presume? *i cant read mandarin :P
Dirty bokeh..must be the dust!
And what's CNY without fireworks? The Clan jetties held some massive fireworks show, a friendly competition and we got the best view of all! From a boat we hired from Chew jetty. At only Rm10 per person, it's cheap and u can avoid the crowds, and get the best view of all!
and the ferry at night! Ever get this close before? haha
when we back to the Chew Jetty, another round of fireworks just begin!
and not forgetting, our beloved CM Lim Guan Eng coming for a visit! Look at all the supporters!
Wonderful wonderful celebration on the 9th day.. it's my first time celebrating it outside of home and it's fantastic! Looking forward for the next one :P
